Contains per 5-g injector:
Cloxacillin (as cloxacillin sodium)…….. 200 mg
Ampicillin (as ampicillin sodium)…….….. 75 mg

Description:
The combination of Ampicillin and Cloxacillin acts additive. Ampicillin possesses antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Cloxacillin is active against Penicillin G resistant staphylococci.
Both beta-lactam antibiotics bind to membrane bound proteins known as penicillin-binding proteins (PBP’s) and are bactericidal.
Indications:
Treatment of clinical bovine mastitis in the lactating cow caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria including: Streptococcal spp., like Streptococcus agalactiae and Streptococcus dysgalactiae, Staphylococcus spp., Arcanobacterium pyogenes and E. coli.
Contra indications:
Not to be used in animals with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredients.

Dosage:
For intramammary administration:
1 injector per affected quarter, immediately after milking at 12-hour intervals for three consecutive milkings.
Before application teats have to be cleaned and disinfected.
Withdrawal times:
– For meat : 7 days.
– For milk : 72 hours.
