Copper Sulfate powder
COMPOSITION: Each g contains:
Copper Sulfate………………………… 800 mg
Excipients (ad.)………………………………… 1 g

TOPICAL USE:
For wounds and ulcers: 0.1-5% antiseptic solutions. Foot Bath: 5-10% solution twice daily for
prevention and treatment of foot rot in sheep and cattle.
Prevention of post-dipping lameness in sheep; 0.03% solution is added to the dipping bath.

INTERNAL USE:
Cases of severe scouring in cattle due to excess molybdenum in pasture grass; Give daily 2 gm
cow and 1 gm/ young animal for one week during grazing period as a drench or dietary
supplement.
Not given to calves while on milk or milk substitutes. Swayback prevention in lambs:
The pregnants ewes in the affected areas are given copper sulphate, as a drench during gestation
period: Per animal (1.5 gm) at 8 weeks. and then at (4) weeks before lambing. In copper deficient
areas: add at rate of 0.5% to the salt.
Feed additive as a production enhancer for dairy cattle and goats: Mix 250 gm /kg feed, then give
a dose of (0.5-2 gm) from the mixture per animal
